Date/Day: 2-4 April 2010, Friday-Sunday
No. of volunteers needed: 20
We are organizing another Batam Community Service Trip, a short visit of 3 days 2 nights during the Good Friday holidays which is a long weekend. This short visit should be a mix of leisure and community service to a children's home.
More details will be provided after the Home recee on 31 January, Sunday.
We are targeting the 2nd children's home (that doesnt have an official Home name) that the previous batch saw during the last trip, as it seemed to be in a poorer condition. The recee will be used to determine the childrens' profile (age, shoe sizes, etc.) as well as the exact areas that they will need most help in e.g. servicing, painting, improving sleeping conditions, toys, clothes, fans, stationery, electricity, sports equipment, etc.
Do try to keep aside the items you would like to give away, especially during your own chinese new year spring cleaning!
